About La Gaviota Tropical
La Gaviota Tropical Boutique Hotel is more than a standard Bed and Breakfast. We opened in May 2013 after four years of planning and nine months in construction. We offer five unique, classy and comfortable rooms, each decorated in its own tropical theme.
We are located on the beach in Playa Hermosa, Guanacaste, 20 minutes from the Daniel Oduber International Airport (LIR) in Liberia. Playa Hermosa is a family-oriented beach with small waves, making it perfect for swimming, boogie boarding, paddle boarding, and kayaking.
The location of our Playa Hermosa Hotel is also good as a base for taking day trips to see beautiful waterfalls, the Palo Verde National Park (where you can see white-faced monkeys, crocodiles, iguanas, and many other animals and birds close up), horseback riding, tubing, canopy tours (zip lining), fishing and surfing.
